The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post:

LOCATION | NFRA Head Office, Kanengo, Lilongwe. The incumbent will be required to travel to the Agency’s depots from time to time as duty demands |
SALARY | Within the NFRA FR 5 salary structure |
TYPE | Probation leading to permanent appointment upon successful completion of the probation period |
JOB PURPOSE
To enhance the Agency’s business growth and foster positive public relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are some of the key responsibilities of the Corporate Affairs Officer:
- Handling corporate communication and public relations matters.
- Undertaking NFRA Public Relations Strategies and campaigns.
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Identifying strategic opportunities and promoting stakeholder relationships.
- Assessing the need and timing of sales in response to internal market trends.
- Monitoring and reporting on grain prices and availability on the international market.
- Preparing reports on the results of grain market monitoring activities.
- Coordinating Corporate Social responsibility activities.
- Drafting NFRA press releases and organising press conferences in liaison with the office of the Chief Executive Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree in either marketing; journalism; media for development; business administration or related field from an accredited institution. In addition, candidates must have at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.
