The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post:

| LOCATION | NFRA Head Office, Kanengo, Lilongwe. The incumbent will be required to travel to the Agency’s depots from time to time as duty demands |

| TYPE | Probation leading to permanent appointment upon successful completion of the probation period |
JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the provision of independent and objective assurance on the efficacy of control systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following shall be some of the key responsibilities:
- Checking compliance with internal control procedures statutory roles and regulations.
- Assisting in preparing annual audit plans and programs.
- Verifying assets for the Agency for proper recording and existence.
- Checking management accounts and financial records for errors and completeness.
- Conducting investigative audits and physical stock taking.
- Conducting performance audits.
- Preparing audit reports and making follow up action.
- Assisting in identifying key risk areas and advising on requisite internal control systems and strategies to be introduced and implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have a diploma in accounting or finance/internal audit or related field and at least 2 years’ relevant working experience.
