The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post:

| LOCATION | NFRA Head Office, Kanengo, Lilongwe. The incumbent will be required to travel to the Agency’s depots from time to time as duty demands. |

| TYPE | Probation leading to permanent appointment upon successful completion of the probation period |
JOB PURPOSE
To plan and manage financial reporting requirement in accordance with relevant finance management regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Management Accountant shall be responsible for preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making. This role focuses on cost analysis, budgeting, and performance evaluation. The following are some of the key responsibilities of the post:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Analyzing financial performance and providing recommendations.
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitoring and reporting on departmental expenditure.
- Conducting cost analysis and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Supporting the Finance Director in strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have: bachelor’s degree in accounting from accredited institution plus a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAM. In addition, candidates must have at least 4 years of relevant working experience.
